Yellowstone Remastered
Updated April 14, 2023
Gallery Notes:
In June-July of 2009 I traveled to Yellowstone National Park for the second time in my life (the first in 1965 when I was 12 years old). My family and I stayed at Stermitz Ranch, outside the North Entrance of the park in Gardiner, MT., which was a visual treat in itself. On that trip I used my first DSLR, a Nikon D200, and a selection of lenses that included the trusty Nikkor 18-70 mm kit lens, the 105mm macro, the 300mm f4, and a Tokina wide angle zoom (I think it was a 12-24mm, I’m not sure—it was almost 14 years ago!)
I recently remastered my favorite shots from the trip with PureRAW from DXO, and then edited in Affinity Photo 2, with a few additional edits in Color Efex Pro. One of the exciting aspects of working digitally is that you can restart from scratch with the original RAW images and take advantage of the newer innovations in software.
Thanks for looking at this updated gallery.
